Slackware 14.0 (32) installation problems an old Thinkpad

I went to install Slack 14 on an old IBM Thinkpad R51 (can't remember the year) and just running the default kernel gives me a error about the CPU not having PAE. I understand what PAE is, does, etc, but I'm not sure if it's possible to disable it without recompiling a kernel and making a new install disk for the laptop.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

You need to use the 'huge' kernel instead of the default 'hugesmp'.

(I think just typing 'huge.s' at the "boot:" prompt will do it.)

I'll try it in a few minutes. Thanks!

Turn on 64gb highmem in the kernel and it will work.
