this surely work with the native huge kernel of slack. first install the default kernel from the cd, install the modules, edit the lilo. add the entry.
run lilo.. boot into the kernel, blacklist the b43 module, install ndiswrapper and wicd. it is prety easy.
then compile a new kernel, dont mess up our slack version of kernel(installed in /usr/src/). it will alter the modules. so try a new one(download) using the old conf of slack, without enabling or disabling anything. check whether it boots, once it boots, play with that and optimize it. remember dont compile the defaut slack kernel, evenif you do please again install the kernel so that u will get the defaults modules back.
