Slackware 13 screen hangs after startx

I recently installed Slackware 13.But evrytime i run startx I get my XFCE screen & it hangs up.Command line works absolutely fine.Pls help

Hi,

In the future please place your long data/list within the vbcode tags # or quote. The # & quote are at the top of the reply window. The post will be cleaner therefore easier to read.

Try starting without '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' to see what happens. Just 'mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf-org' then do the startx.

What happens?

I did patched it with zen patch & video driver
Till now X hangs
will install the kernel 2.6.32rc5 today & report you all soon

it works for me on lastest kernel 2.6.32-5 just download,

once u have last kernel installed do upgradepkg on each package and then reboot

preq: hopefully you done properly upgrade to slackware-current, if you didnt, select the mirror of slackware current

do slackpkg update
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg upgrade-all
slackpkg clean-system
check and make sure that kernel 2.6.32-5-smp is installed along with kernel firmware kernel modules kernel headers and kernel source

once u have that download packages thats posted by me today, do upgradepkg on each package and reboot

hopefully it works out for you as it works for me
