Slackware 13 and Keytec Touchscreen

Has anyone installed a Keytec (magictouch) touchscreen on Slackware 13 with KDE desktop? I tried following the manufacturer's instructions for installing drivers manually (scripts are written for other OS's) but no luck. the /var/log message shows the device correctly when it's plugged in but I have no function and no error message.

Thanx

You may need to recompile the kernel/ compile a newer kernel with Touchscreen Support and additional drivers.

Usually the scripts provided by your manufacturer for automation, and basically compiles and installs a kernel module for proper device functioning. You can manually be able to compile and load them yourself, I suppose.

Keytec Responded

I used the support form on Keytec's website and got a response right away saying they're working on it. I didn't hold out much hope but sure enough, this morning, I got an e-mail with attached files. The driver, accessories and install script for the 32 and 64 bit drivers. I used the 32 bit version and it works fine. They tell me, I'm the first one to test the driver, so far. They will eventually post them here. http://www.magictouch.com/support_usb_xd.html
