Now in my Linux+ exam book, it says that to add users to a particular group, use:
Code:
groupmod -A ["username"]
This may be on the exam. I am using Slackware 13.37 and I pull up
groupmod(8) , I do not see any flags for "-A (add user)". I feel like i have been hoodwinked
.
I know that I could use:
Code:
usermod -g ["groupname"] OR -G ["group1, group2, group3, etc.."]
But this could prove to be very tedious and time consuming especially if there are more than 1000 users to manage and/or add to groups.
But is there some kind of upgrade that I need to use for the groupmod command in order for me to use the -A flag to add users?
Thanks.
