Slackware 13.37 & KDE 4.5.5 - Laptop power management
Hello!
I recently installed Slackware 13.37 on my laptop.
Once i restarted the laptop and the screen was dark so i decided to make it brighter (by pressing Fn+F5 - it was fixed). I thought it is something to do with power management options in KDE so i changed some settings there. The point is that i cannot remember what i did. I tried to set the default values but it did not seem to help.
Now the problem is the following:
Case1: I leave the music player on and leave the laptop open. It plays music but in some time it seems to fall asleep and it plays that sound as if i close the laptop. This sound is being played on and on as if the laptop falls asleep in particular intervals of time - every 20-30 minutes.
Case2: I close the laptop. It plays that particular sound as if it is going to fall asleep. I go to bed and all night long on particular intervals of time it keeps playing that sound as if i am closing it right now. In fact i do not touch it at all, but it keeps playing that sound. Does it fall asleep at all, i do not know.
Do you know how to fix that? It bothers me all night long by playing that sound as if i close the laptop. Do you get what the problem is? Any idea what should i do and where the reason actually is? Has anyone experienced similar behaviour?
Thank YOU!
