For ref it does state clearly in the changelog that pat was holding out for 37.6 and thats what he intends to ship.
Yes, I know. I was just putting the word out in case he had a last minute change of heart.
(and also for the folk who build their own)
It's not unusual for Slackware to have a kernel that has fallen outside of upstream's maintenance provision. With the exception of the longterm ..27 and 32 branch most upstream kernels have a very short lifetime. There's really no way around it other than Pat being more aggressive in following upstream kernels via the patches/ directory, and that would have implications for stability so I can understand why he wouldn't want to go that route.
We probably won't get much more than a month out of 38 before it's replaced by .39 anyway, so it doesn't make much difference in the long-run.

i seem to remember an old file that had "undocumemted" machine code instructions for the 8086 CPU, one of them was "BTP" Branch when Technician Present, and another one "BUP" Branch when User Present
xf86-video-intel-2.15.0 is out! With a number of bug fixes related to KDE & Co. It's very important, please update the video driver!
While you are at it, libdrm-2.4.25 works well on top of -current, allowing to run the very last xf86-video-nouveau, aka xf86-video-nouveau-8378443-i486-1with mesa-7.10.2 (already in /testing) and linux-2.6.39-rc3 (config already in /testing as well).
Please note though that nobody asked that that xerver-1.10 be included, as we are still waiting for xerver-1.10.1
OK everybody, stay idle till Slackware-EasterEgg be released.

Reason: Typo
Remember everyone, if you want bleeding edge try Fedora, Ubuntu, and the like. Do not ask for something that came out today to be included in Slackware. If things went this way, Slackware would be just like the other bleeding edge distros. I don't want that.
Has anyone had problems when exiting "full screen" from a video web page? I've encountered the same problem on Opera, Firefox, Konqueror and Seamonkey: whenever i exit full screen mode, i the session ends and I'm thrown back to kdm.
Presumably Flash video or do you mean something else like HTML5 video? Do you have any example page? Also what was your Window Manager/Desktop Environment? I was watching a BBC iPlayer Flash video in full screen (under Xfce with Opera) just yesterday and had no such problem.
Yes, flash video. It first occurred while watching videos Polizeiruf 110 on Das Erste Mediathek (http://mediathek.daserste.de/sendung...--in-voller-l-), then i decided to check youtube videos and the same thing happened. All under kde 4.5.5

Which graphics card do you have? I notice similar behaviour with a Radeon HD4600, but not on my laptop with Intel graphics. Both are using firefox and kde 4.6.2. Sometimes the video even freezes when entering full screen and I have to alt-ctrl-backspace out of the x-session.

Incorporating a stable FVWM, released after at least 5 years of development, is hardly incorporating bleeding-edge software into Slackware. The alternative is to leave a beta release or the last stable release (2005?) in instead.
