Slackware 12 - KDE Control Center Issue
For some reason, after I loaded 12 up today, I cannot get to the KDE Control Center/Appearance & Themes / Fonts tab. I always like to update my fonts with windows fonts, but for some reason, when I click the fonts tab like one might normally do in KDE, it goes right to the appearances & Themes default menu.
I really need to change my fonts. How does one manually set fonts in KDE? or is it easier to fix the control center? |
Fonts
I would try fc-cache if you need to install particular fonts. If you aren't too picky, there should be a fonts package out there. I got 4 hits for font packages at linuxpackages.

I am using Debian Sid but I am having a similar problem. When I click on the fonts selector all that is shown is the KDE Control Panel welcome screen yet every other options page works. Weird.

I had a similar problem occur when I was experimenting with downgrading freetype. It was cured by reinstalling freetype from the installation CD.
