Slackware 12 eap-fast configuration

I'm attempting to enable eap-fast on one of my Slackware 12 laptops and wanted to seek assistance as I haven't been able to find a lot of documentation on the best way to accomplish this.

I've been digging around and it looks like this is going to require a rebuild of ieee80211 and the wpa_supplicant. Is anyone aware of another way of doing this?

If someone has successfully deployed eap-fast on Slack I'd love to hear your approach and your success.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Regards,
Alex
