Slackware 12 and automounting CD as well as USB stick

I just want to know how to do this? I knew how to mount the USB key and the CD using the mount command. But since in the release announcement, it was written that it would be done automatically (plug and play). Has anybody knew how to do it?

As for me, I put the CD in, it pop up a windows asking me if I want to open it in a new windows, I click on OK, then the breaking sound and this error message in a windows:

"A security policy in places prevents this user from sending this message to the recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member Mount error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal")"

What should I do?

Add your account to the groups "plugdev" and "cdrom" and then run the command "/etc/rc.d/rc.messagebus reload" so that DBUS/HAL know you've been added to "plugdev". If you are running X, you need to reastart it to ket KDE/XFCE pick up the changes in DBUS/HAL.
This is already stated in the notes by the way.

I did it. Thank you Alien Bob. I guess I rushed through the announcement and forgot an important detail.

Yet, I have one more question. When I was in my user name, the CD appeared to be in the folder /media/hdb. But outside XWindows, on the command line, where can I access it? I checked the folder /media, but could not find the folder hdb.

Thank you again.
