Slackware 12.2 Hangs in VBox VM

Hi,

When running KDE 3.5, and I start a terminal session from X, it just hangs the VM.

Is this a known incompatibility?

I'm running the latest version of Virtual Box on Windows 7 Pro x64.

The real system has plenty of RAM - 4Gb - and the VM has 1 Gb.

Best regards,
AstroTux.

I have a 12.2 VM, although my host is 12.2 and not Windows 7. As Shylock suggested, check the Xorg logs.

grep '(EE)' /var/log/Xorg.0.log && grep '(WW)' /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Second you should install the VB Guest Additions drivers, which includes a special video driver for VB machines. Otherwise your 12.2 VM needs to use the vesa driver. If you copied the xorg.conf from a physical machine, then that xorg.conf might be configured to use a video driver not supported by the VB structure.
