Slackware 12.1 on a pptp vpn

I have a pptp vpn at my school and I'm having trouble getting the connect to work. I'm using a tool called kvpnc to connect to the vpn. Kvpnc works fine is says that everything is connect fine but when I try and surf or ping any site it doesn't work. Can't even reach the dns.

This works fine in opensuse and ubuntu so and kvpnc successfully authenticates so it must be a route, mppc, and/or iptables problem.

My first question is Does the stock slackware kernel have a mppc module?

EDIT: I found the pptpclient web site, I'm going to follow that and I'll report back when school starts up again
