Slackware 10 RC2 released; Slackware 10 imminent...
According to the changelogs RC2 has been released, here's hoping Slackware 10 final is coming soon...
Steve P.S. This is more of a headsup for people who haven't been following the changelogs more than anything :) Edit: What does this mean? Quote:

Galeon uses Mozilla's rendering engine Gecko.
|
Ah cheers; so it's Konqueror that has it's own engine yeh? :)
Thanks for clearing that up Steve |
khtml
Yes, konqueror uses khtml (this engine has been taken for the browser in mac os X).

Excellant, cheers

According to Theresa at the Slackware store, Slackware 10 should be RTM tomorrow, and should begin shipping in about a week and a half.

Sweet, but that's for subscribers only? What about us freeloaders (I WILL buy Slackware 10 as soon as my pay packet comes through) - will we be able to download tommorow as well? :)

Can't you just use Swaret and upgrade your current install?
|
I promised a mate I'd install slackware on his machine; he only has 56k so it'd be a pain to install 9.1 and then update to current on 56k...
I'd much rather be able to download a 10 ISO and just install that Steve |
ahhh rgr. I was about say...
|
so finally Slackware 10 will hit the store !?
I'll be waiting for it, coz 56 kb upgrades are REAL SLOW :( |
|
Why not use swaret to upgrade slack?

Well you might do...
