Slackware 10 partitioning
i have a question about partitioning my 80GB hard drive. But i dont know how to set it up in fdisk.I look at this site http://www.bitbenderforums.com/vb22...p?postid=311808
but i got all mixed up on his partitioning part i know he haves a 40GB and he's has a windows partition in there so i getthing lost on that part. so how to do you set it up ? |
what partition setup are you trying to achieve??
i recommend cfdisk to do it... an example setup for your 80gb drive: /dev/hda1 = "/" 5GB (reiser filesystem) /dev/hda5 = "swap" 1GB /dev/hda6 = "/home" 74GB (reiser filesystem) just my two cents... |
hmmm thanks i'll try that
|
wow thanks cfdisk is a lot better then fdiak thanks 4 the help
|
you're welcome!!
=) remember to reboot right after you partition, BEFORE you start the install... |
