Damnit!!! I just installed Slackware 10.1 . . . I guess it's not that bad then, as I won't have anything saved so I won't lose anything to remove it and install 10.2.
Good-job Patrick  .

Thats cool, but I myself am waiting for Slackware11, so right now I am still running 10.0 , and I hope I can try following the upgrade.txt from 10 to 11 when it comes out.

crespo, you should be able to leave your current install and use a package management tool (ie slapt-get || swaret) and upgrade fully to 10.2... someone please correct me if not?
i just heard that 10.2 is released, so i came on and edited my /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc file so that it points to the 10.2 location isntead of 10.1, and slapt is currently upgrading me to 10.2
Code:
SOURCE=ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/slackware/slackware-10.2/
is the line i edited (changed a 1 to a 2, i wish M$ was this easy)

Not all of the slackpkg servers listed in the default file are live with 10.2 yet but there are some that are (most prominently the one listed above).
10.2 Ahoy!

Great to hear, I thought it would still be a week or so off. Better check the changelog, download what is needed, and seed to help everyone
Congrats to Pat on another solid and timely release.

Me too. BTW, I am wearing the blue tee-shirt right now
Did Slackware Store charge your credit card for the new release or not? My credit card summary doesn't show anything yet.

Does anyone subscribe to the "slackware-announce" mailing list? I do and there hasn't been a mail about 10.2 yet (at least, I haven't received one :/).
Still, it's good to hear the news .
