Slackware 10.2 boot problem

I'm a new Linux user and, after a friend showed me the Slax LiveCD, I decided to download and install Slackware 10.2.
My computer doesn't have a floppy disk drive so I didn't create any floppy disks when the setup program asked me to.
Now when I try to boot I come to this part:
Code:

VFS: Insert root floppy and press ENTER
So I just press Enter and this is what I get:
Code:

VFS: Cannot open root device "202" or 02:02
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:02

I tried with either CD in the drive but it doesn't work.
I can access the hard with Slax, so if there is a file I need to edit please tell me.

can you boot using the slackware cd1?

when you start the computer with the cd1 in your drive, you should get the same install thing as you had when you first installed.

instead of hitting ENTER when it says "boot" you type in a little sentence which can also be read above that, from the top of my head its boot: bare.i root=/dev/hda1 nointrd ro (please note that /dev/hda should be your root partition on which you installed slackware, it could also be something like /dev/hda2 on your system. if you dont know you can use cfdisk to find out what you should use)

if the above all works!! can you then try to post the contents of the files /etc/lilo.config and /etc/fstab?

otherwise try to copy it here when using slax

Thanks for the help, but I've already reinstalled the whole system :) . Everything is working now.
