slackware 10.1 printer configuration

on trying to test my printer I get the following message ;

A print error occurred. Error message received from system:

cupsdoprint -P 'epson5700' -J 'KDE Print Test' -H 'localhost:631' -U 'root' -o ' multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-uncollated-copies orientation-requested=3' '/tmp/kde-root/kdeprint_3fOyQmv7' : execution failed with message:
server-error-not-accepting-jobs

hope someone has already found a solution, thanks

if using KDE, under printing in the control panel, highlight your printer, go to properties, then users.

Try switching it to allowed users, then add your username(s) and root, that may fix it. I had a similar problem.
