slackpkg upgrade-all shows outdated packages

I ran slackpkg update, then slackpkg install-new, then slackpkg upgrade-all. The menu shows pretty much every package that comes stock in slackware, and the ones that I looked at are all older versions than what I have installed. Is this how its supposed to be? or is my slackpkg bugging out?

check the files in /etc/slackpkg especially mirrors but also slackpkg.conf, it sounds like it might be a configuration error.

late reply, just tried to update again and forgot about this problem.

I looked at slackpkg.conf and mirrors, and get this output. Not really sure if anything needs to be uncommented or if I need to add new lines or what.

Odd!

You have Slackware 13.1 in your signature, but your mirrors file appears to be from 13.0 and indeed points to a 13.0 repository.

A quick, dirty, fix would be to change the version number on the un-commented line of mirrors to 13.1, the run slackpkg update again.

cool, that seems to have worked. Only showing one package to upgrade now, which I think is probably right. I didn't even notice it was set as 13.0 for whatever reason. Thanks!

You could try downloading slack package again and run upgradepkg --reinstall pkgname.t?z. That might give you a proper mirror list. You can get it here.
