I know what you mean

I love slackpkg as well and I've "hacked" it in the past too - that's how I discovered this "limitation". Actually, I hacked it enough to get it working on my Slack/390 setup here

The latest beta seems pretty fast. In fact I think the improvements from the thread you mention are incorporated.

@ gOBLIN -- thanks for that; it's finally nice outside around here, so I'm trying to put a dent into the wasteland/debris-field that our property has become over the winter. Once I get through a few more things I'll dig up that thread I refer to, and look at the slackpkg beta again and see what's what.
