slackpkg update and upgrade-all still working for 12.2?

Morning all,
I'm back to tackle slackware again after a few months off. I actually missed messing around with it!
I tried a 'slackpkg update' and 'slackpkg upgrade-all' from the console last night, but from the messages back I got the idea I was all up to date. Bearing in mind i have even booted into my slack partition in 3 or 4 months, would you expect this to be true?

Cheers,

mute

Have a look at 12.2's ChangeLog on the mirror you use.

Hello,

To which mirror are you pointing to? -current or 12.2.

If it's -current, then you have missed new packages and could also clean up old packages:

Code:
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg clean-system

i believe it's 12.2, not current. I'll check when i'm home tonight. How do I get to this changelog? Is it on my machine or the slackware website? Sorry if they're stupid questions.

Thanks for the help guys,
mute

Click on "Get Slack" on the Slackware website, choose your mirror, choose the release directory.

I had that UK mirror set in my /etc/slackpkg/mirrors because it gave a good download speed, but it was always a couple of days late catching up with Slackware.com's ChangeLog - so I changed it to:
http://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub...lackware-12.2/

I use that mirror for 13.0 too.

For what it's worth I recently ran update and upgrade-all from the mirror :
ftp://mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.sl...lackware-12.1/
- looks like I did so on Aug 15th and again on Sept 28th and all went
well with various packages getting updated.
