slackpkg update = slackware-current?

Howdy Y'all,

I'm running Slackware 11 and everything is stable: don't fix it if it aint broken. However, I do keep up with security patches, and want to keep things current in that regard.

I recently read about slackpkg and installed it from CDROM. However, if I do

Code:

slackpkg update
Is that going to tip me over to -current with the new toolchain and everything? I've been warned that my favorite window manager et al. will have problems.

Thanks,
Joel

Hi

You set the version level by selecting a mirror in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors

Sorry, nevermind I should have STFW'd before I posted...

I'll leave this up in the hopes that others will see it:

I went straight past the Slackware 11 mirrors to the -current ones.
Thanks you for replying nonetheless,

Joel
