Slackpkg, Slackpkg Plus, Slackware 14.1 x86_64 install.log delay or slow to write
 

I'm running Slackware 14.1 on a x86_64 with multilib and slackpkgplus. After updating to the latest patches and slackpkgplus it seems to be taking a very long time for my system to write the install.log. Has anyone else experienced this delay and how to I find out what the cause may be? When I inspect the slackpkg install.log I see everything written for the last update. It just seems to take a while to write, curious...

Yes I noticed that too. No idea what that install.log is needed for.

Perhaps it can be disabled with a switch in the configuration file?

I have reported this "bug" in what can be regarded as the "official" slackpkg+ thread in LQ.

I hope it will help.

This morning (4/22/2014) ran slackpkg upgrade-all and newest version of slackpkg+ "4mt" was installed, issue has gone away. Thanks to everyone for verifying this "bug" and the support persons for fixing.
