Just out of interest is anyone here running the 64 bit b2 plugin on 13.37 and getting segmentation faults with nsplugin whilst running konqueror?

I am using it with chrome and get seg faults as well.

It's not the browser, I believe it's the kernel. On 2.6.39.3 I don't have segmentation faults, but on 3.0.3 I do.

Just a curiosity: has anybody got any fresh news about the Adobe flash plugin for ARM? I am planning to buy a Genesi smartop and run Armedslack on it (in chroot, see thread on the Armedslack ML).

ARM will probably not be getting support for stuff like Flash until the architecture goes mainstream.

Just an update on the SlackBuild again in case the pattern wasn't found (I also apologize for making this post 12 days late to the update but I haven't checked it in awhile):

the .SlackBuild file (flash-player-plugin.SlackBuild) needs to be edited on lines 24 and 25:

Code:

VERSION=11_rc1
DATESTAMP=090611

And here are the new sources:

64-bit: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/l..._090611.tar.gz

32-bit: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/l..._090611.tar.gz

sbopkg is going to say it's outdated because the repo is 11_b2, but ignore it for now.

Do you have CPU frequency scaling enabled? If so, it's the cause. Flash is very CPU intensive, and it's simply not going to work well with your CPU at half speed. You need to tweak your CPUFreq settings so that your CPU doesn't get downclocked when you're watching Flash movies. See here;

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php...nd_performance

I know that even without 3D acceleration, a Phenom II running at full speed can play a 720p Youtube anime trailer smoothly. I also know that without 3D acceleration, a downclocked Athlon II (which is almost equivalent) will play a full-screen Google-IO Youtube seminars as a slideshow.

You can also try the latest beta from Adobe Labs, which has multithreaded video decoding.
