slackbuild textlive on slackware 13 missing texmf tree

I have tried a few times to install slackbuild texlive as root. The install seems to go fine, but the result yields no texmf tree. I would be greatful for any ideas, or even ideas as to where to look. The maddening thing is that I can't even find salient errors.

Are you sure have downloaded all the source files that you need? Make sure to read the README.

Is the package 'tetex' installed ?

I guess, that one covers the most.

Install disk 2 : slackware/t/tetex-3.0-i486-6.txz

' slackware/t/ ' : tetex, tetex-doc, transfig, xfig .

.....

Knudfl: Tetex is the default on slack, but it is no longer being updating. Texlive is the newer non-obsolete package available from slackbuilds.

I am sure I've included all the source files. I've followed the README well, evening removing the earlier tetex installation.

I've just noticed something that might help a diagnosis, but I am not sure what it means. It seems that running the script genereted a file "texlive-20091107-i486-1_SBo.tgz" in the /tmp. I hadn't seen that before.

Opps, I figured out that I needed to change Arch to i686 in the script. Then I had to installpkg ...SBo.tgz. Thanks for the help everyone.
