Maybe a lot of us (I am) are using Alien Bob's ffmpeg packages?

Libraries and dependencies are indeed important, and most likely interesting to maintainers. But I am curious about the applications. Is it feasible to list them separated from the rest?

also SBo slackbuild uses here a "generic" $ARCH for the package name.

"172 packages were recorded."

Done

I'm afraid all packages are listed together in list.txt (attached). You could grep out the packages you don't want based on the contents of the libraries directory if you want.

Plus, libraries often contain useful applications.

Maybe I should have included AlienBob's packages in the survey as well ...

I've used a couple packages thus far (recently installed slackware for the first time a few days ago). But the script said I hadn't installed any. Weird.

I don't use that many slackbuilds outright, but I do look at the slackbuilds when I build something more complicated like ffmpeg / libav.

I currently only use slackbuilds for things that do not build or install properly when I build them. For example, I always use the lua slackbuild.

So, get my working SlackBuild and/or package instead: http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/pe...ilds/avidemux/
You get a newer version too that way.

Mind the dependencies: a52dec, aften, faac, faad2, lame, libdca, libvpx, opencore-amr, x264, xvidcore.

Only 4 on the lappy. I moved and all my machines have been in transit (including main machine).

Thanks for the link Alien Bob. Actually, I compiled the latest version of avidemux and it seemed to have some problem/bug with the audio. People in some forums recommended to downgrade. I will try your build later, though.
