Slackbook-3 status?

The Slackbook site says version 3 should be out around mid 2009, but so far I've seen no mention, and the only changelog I've seen (on their site) stopped at version 2's release.

Does anyone have any info on the new book's status? Is Slackbook-2 still relevant enough to Slack-13 to be worth buying the hard copy?

Thanks for any advice!

Mike

You could ask Alan Hicks on the #slackware channel on Freenode IRC. I imagine he's doing the book again and he's often there.

slackbook-3 will more than likely contain updates for the new xorg and other important system daemons.

Hi,

Listen too 'Hacker Public Radio Interview with Alan Hicks Hosted by klaatu on 2009-06-29' to get a little insight.

This link and others can be found at 'Slackware-Links' . More than just SlackwareŽ links!

If i am not mistaking just like it happens with the Slackware media downloads and the media you buy from the Slackware store, the slackbook.pdf is identical to the printed book.
Buying the slackbook is another way of contributing financialy to Slackware, as well as the fact that you get an actual printed book. PDFs or any other binary form of documentation can never replace a book.
