I'm using Slack 64-13.37 on a Thinkpad 550SC. I just started having repeated connection drops with wicd-1.7.2.1_slack64_13.37-2. I hooked up a CAT-5 cable an continued to get repeated connection drops. I was finally able to FTP wicd-1.7.2.1-slack64_13.37-1 and replaced the version 2 with the version 1. This fixed the problem and I have had no further connection problems. I wonder if this is connected with the update to the dhcp package lst week?
