Slack64 -C / Firefox mailto / Thunderbird

I'm trying to set the "mailto" in Firefox to Thunderbird.

As I recall the path used to be /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird in the 32 bit systems.

Now, the closest thing I can find for Slack64 is:
/usr/lib64/thunderbird-2.0.0.22/thunderbird-bin
wich wont work.

I have Thunderbird selected in system setting as the default app.

Where should I be looking for this setting?

Or is there a command I can just issue without messing with the gui?

That's where I'm trying to set it from. But I can't find the right path to tell it to launch Thunderbird. It will set to gmail and yahoo mail.

Now it started working using:

/usr/lib64/thunderbird-2.0.0.22/thunderbird-bin

Maybe I just screwed something up the first few times I tried it.

Does /usr/bin/thunderbird not point (symlink) to the location you need (I don't have Slackware 64 to verify this)? The default for new firefox profiles out of the box should have this. If you don't have any important mime types setup for firefox you could just remove the mimeTypes.rdf under your firefox profile. The next time you open firefox the file should be recreated using the defaults I mentioned above.

Please note that this behavior is because of a patch in the Slackware package. You will not see it if you just untar and run the official (unpatched) mozilla sources.

That was it!!
I was in the wrong place.
in Firefox > Preferences
I was going to
/usr/lib64/thunderbird-2.0.0.22
And I should have been going to
/usr/bin/thunderbird

Thanks!
