slack64: after weeks pcmanfm won't working no more

I worked with pcmanfm over weeks very strong without any problem. Today there was suddenly no reaction when I tried to start it.

I removed pcmanfm with pkgtool and installed ot new...first from slackbuilds. When I startedup pcmanfm from a terminal as root, a message "no protocol specified" appears. As user, the command freezes in terminal.

I removed the SlackBuild-Installation an took Alien Bobs ready-to-run-Package for slack64. The same effect: "no protocol specified" and/or freezes

How can I reactivate pcmanfm to work properly?

Thanks in advance.

It could be that you have a problem in a local pcmanfm configuration file. Look under ~/.config/pcmanfm or just rename the pcmanfm folder and it's sub-directories.

Look for the 'trash bin' patch or be very cautious about file deletion, as PCManFM don't send them to trash.

edit: I found out the reason of the problem.

The reason is an defect of the HD!

I found it out by accident because ther an error message appears in my terminal "journal commit I/O error"
