Slack 9.0 setup skips configure??

Hello,
I'm trying to install slackware 9.0 on a dell server, can't
remember type for the moment. It is a 4 cpu (pIII700)
with an adaptec scsi card and a single disc.

I boot the adaptec.s kernel from cd and everything is
ok, I can fdisk and start setup, but when it is time for
the configuration step it skips all config steps and I get
the message that it is finished and it is time for reboot.

I tried to install from this cd on a workstation booting
the default kernel and it worked ok, I got all config steps.

I'm very thankful for any help on this!

/Fredrik
