Making a Linux distribution is Computer Science. Even in some circles it is considered a magical process where The Man inspired by Bob writes a bunch of "configure && make && make install" scripts to produce the only True Linux Distribution optimized for commonly used i486 hardware. These scripts are so creative and unique that they have to be copyrighted.

Oh so basically your calling Patrick a moron because he wants to protect something he invested heavily into and is his livelihood? Wow man. You didn't have to say it outright, but it's easy enough for us who you feel are so beneath you to translate out into plain English. If you feel this community is so beneath you and is as you say a fantasy land, then find the Log Out link, click it, and lose the URL.
Why do people like you always never seem to appreciate anything, yet love to put everything and everyone else down for their ideas?
I might not be the biggest contributor to Slackware, I might be wrong from time to time on issues, I feel certain ways about certain things, and UnSpawn sometimes has to put me in time-out, but never have I dared to belittle Slackware, it's authors, contributors, users, LinuxQuestions, or it's staff in such a manner. I might not get along with Tobi, Darth can be thorny, and others here might not always see eye to eye. Heck even me and Eric butt heads, but of all of it all, we still are respectful. Right or wrong. Good or bad. Thick and thin. But that statement... you know what man. You're on your own with that one. I don't even know how to say it other than honestly... Totally out of line.
