slack 12 problem

I instaled slackware 12 than I reboot and it starts putting the "4" caracter on the command line, I tryed another keybord but it stills the same. Its like the "4" key is allways pressed. With slackware 11 works just fine....

Any ideas???

Change the type of kbd connection (i.e. if usb, use ps/2)
Presumably the kbd was fine for the install.

Does it do that when you unplug the kbd?

You may be looking at a reinstall.

I already did all that.

I think its a kernel incompatibility because with slackware 11 with 2.4 kernel it works just fine.
I have the same problem with ubuntu 7.04...

Good luck:-) Did you choose a similar keyboard layout when you installed slack 11?

Hi,

Do you have a tv turner or multimedia controller in the computer?

Did you blacklist the module?

"Problem resolved..." Great! But... how?

I just add 'rmmod saa7134' to the rc.local, until I find more information about the module…

Hi,

Do you any of the devices that would use this module?
This is a gentoo wiki for the saa7134.
