Slack 11, udev 97 Palm Pilot rules

I have been struggling trying to get my usb Palm Zire 31 to hotsync using kernel 2.6.17 in Slackware 11. My searches indicate that the syntax for the newer udev rules has gotten stricter and my previous 10-pilot.rules no longer works.

Does anyone have a working udev rule for a Palm Handheld that works in Slack11/kernel=2.6.17.13/udev=97

Thanks in advance

I have no udev rule and usb sync is working fine on a fresh install of Slackware 11.0 and kernel 2.6.17.13.

This is from my laptop.

BUS="usb", SYSFS{product}="Palm Handheld*", KERNEL="ttyUSB[13579]", SYMLINK="pilot"

I am using net:any with bluetooth and pilot-tools 0.12 on the laptop and there is no udev rule except this one and the default of course.
