slack 11.0 testing/hplip dependencies problem
testing/hplip needs PyQt, net-snmp, and sip if you need to run hp-toolbox. I wonder why Pat only included hplip.

I ran hp-toolbox from a terminal and it worked fine. I don't have any of the dependancies installed.

hplip requires pyqt for the hp-toolbox, and net-snmp for a networked printer, so I suppose you have to install those packages for extra functionaility. It works well otherwise.

Hello,
It seems that it's a bug with NVIDIA drivers. Try without them - it worked for me - because Pat said me :

I too have a printer that requires hplip, and on a vanilla current
installation 'toolbox' starts for me without error.

No NVIDIA driveers here, but hp-toolbox did not work if I had not installed pyqt etc.

I've got kde bindings, -libs -base and -qt from the kde packages. sip is in the bindings package as well. So it ought to work.

Oh well!
Lucky for you if you use KDE. I use gnome, so it is a bad idea for me to install kdebindings (14MB) simply for pyqt and sip inside
