Slack 10 KDE dsktp the Moz 1.7 font too small
 

Hi,

Any help? on how to fix Moz 1.7 web browser fonts, especially its menu and address bar area.

I saw this linuxquestions thread:

And I did most of what is there. I like to use Moz web browser but font on same is too too small.

kde fonts are alright and adjustable in control center.

But, nothing that I've done has any affect on the Moz web browser fonts.

I run 1024 x 768 16 bit at 75 for the refresh rate.

I ran xorgconfig.

Like I say, it's all pretty nice except for the Mozilla.

Am I to be forced to set them from within Moz? I tried, but they are grainy also. (not as clear and nice appearing as the kde stuff fonts.

in Mozilla goto following menu : edit/preferences/appearance/fonts/minimum font size.

Thanks Boutros.

Did as you suggested which helped only slightly until I also in that same area, set the Mozilla to use 96 dpi on the fonts. That latter made a significant difference.

At least now I can use Mozilla whereas before, I couldn't.

Then, in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

I put the 100 dpi font line ahead of the other font lines. Unsure if it helped though, if so, only slightly.

Hmm, took another look at kde stuff. Its fonts is much rougher and grainier than I'd like for it to be.

In /etc/X11

I notice three different .conf files (vesa, fb, and also the xorg.conf). I don't even know which of the three my system is using. How to tell which one? modprobe? If so, how?

a snippet from my dmesg:

Does anyone know if that has meaning? If so, what does it mean?

I've found font confusing and with a learning curve to it. Well, I get to learn more, that's great!
