slack 10.2 KDE fonts problem

Hi,
i'm a total newbie, i just installed slackware 10.2 on my system, the default X is KDE 3.4.2, the problem is even though i've chosen US english fonts during the time of installation, at first when i started slack everything was fine, but now all the text appear as boxes, only some english letters in between, everything from the start menu to the konqueror file browser, the control center, everywhere the text appears as boxes, what do i do? plz help me, i'm new to this linux thing.

Hello :-)
you can try to re-run kde-setup again. and make sure you select your contry and language.
or you can choose Country/Language from KDE Control Center.

You need unicode fonts. Make sure you accept the defaults and don't choose your own fonts until you get the system running.

Then do a search in this forum for fonts and you will find much information. If you don't like the Slackware fonts you can copy winbloze fonts and use them. Instructions are also found here in this forum.
