Forum Members,
Is it possible to write a bootable copy of the 'slackware-14.0-install-dvd.iso' directly to the USB flash drive? It would seem to me, this approach would be less error prone, due to the large amount of memory usage. Sincerely, coner |
Do you mean like this?

you can also write the usb image on the flash drive, mount it when finished and copy the slackware folder containing all the packages in it (from a local copy -even from the iso, mounting it).
then, during the install, instead of selecting "install from a slackware cdrom" you go for "install from a premounted directory". |
