Hi, since Slackware 10.2 is out, I installed it last night and wanted to install/configure skim in it. Everything went smoothly except that I can't activate skim in firefox(official build included with the installation CD). Everything else works fine(Kate, Konqueror, Kopete...).
As far as I remember, firefox never gave me any problem working with skim/scim in other distributions. Does anyone has the same problem?

I have tried installing the official builds of 1.0.4 and 1.0.7 from mozilla.org, they don't work either. So I assume that this is the problem associated with slackware. Will continue to investigate.

Ohh.. just found out that some GTK-based apps(Gaim, Gimp, mozilla...) don't work well either.

Ok, I have found the solution from this webpage:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/piperma...er/001152.html
This command helps solve the problem
Code:
gtk-query-immodules-2.0 > /etc/gtk-2.0/gtk.immodules
