Skanlite crashes
Does Skanlite crash for anyone else? For me, it crashes when you try to save the image you scanned. XSane works beautifully, so it's not my hardware.
It's a Canon LIDE30, in case you're wondering.

Works fine with a HP psc 1410.
No crashes.
Seems it's a bit slower than XSane.
Do you get any errors when you start it from command line?

Locks up for me when it shows the "New Image File Name" dialog.
Console output:
Code:
QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme.
Skanlite(2337): couldn't create slave: "Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''.
"
QProcess: Destroyed while process is still running.
Skanlite(2337) KSambaSharePrivate::testparmParamValue: We got some errors while running testparm "Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
Error loading services.
"
Skanlite(2337) KSambaSharePrivate::findSmbConf: KSambaShare: Could not find smb.conf!

It appears you may not have samba installed. smb.conf is the configuration file for samba and Skanlite seems to be searching for it.

It has nothing to do with Samba, I get that smb error too, but here it doesn't crash.
Errors that Dugan has and I don't are about qgtk.
That same error is spoken of here:
