sis driver and flash


I just got the sis video driver installed, but video acceleration is really poor, especially youtube and online streeming.. i have turned of hardware acceleration in flash player but that dos not help..

It's a crappy card, with crappy drivers. I think crappy performance is to be expected :-)

It is a bad vga but it can run flash. I owned a laptop with this card and I compiled a xorg.conf that worked smoothly, even with two displays.

1) Download the driver:
git clone git://github.com/hellnest/xf86-video-sismedia-0.9.1.git

2) You can use this .conf that I was using: http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/etc/xorgconf

3) You should use this software as a vga control panel: http://www.winischhofer.net/linuxsisvga.shtml
