Should there be a Slackware-ARM subforum?

That's it! I'm done with the Intel architecture! I have a new ARM-based Chromebook and I am planning to toy with it to achieve the goal of running Slackware, or at least I'll try to go as far as possible.

I know there is a dedicated mailing list and I know it's possible to ask a question on this forum, but I an curious to see if there's enough interest for a specific subforum on LQ. Your views, and don't forget to vote for the poll.

I don't see a poll, and I don't see any reason for needing a separate ARM subforum. If it's Slackware you have a question, on whatever ARCH, then this is the forum to discuss that.

Yeah, I think I'm with AlienBOB on this one. If you have a ARM specific question, just put that in the title of your thread.

I agree with Alien_Bob, if your questions/query/problem are Slackware specific then post within the Slackware Forum. If questions/query/problems are ARM specific then post in Linux - Embedded & Single-board computer
HTH!

The option "No, the LQ forum should only deal with Intel-based computing" is invalid. We deal also with Linux on Power/PPC, ARM, SPARC, have an "Embedded and Single Board Computer" subforum (those are mostly not IA32 or AMD64) and so on.
After all, this is Linuxquestions.org and Linux supports a whole bunch of platforms.

In contradiction with the OP, knowing what ARM is, I have decided that I will not buy ARM devices and I will only buy and support the Intel x86 architecture. However, there is no reason for a subforum.

I'll buy whatever tickles my fancy - unless its made by Sony.

I would not be against a Slackware Arm subforum right under the Installation subforum. Of course, that is not my decision.
