Should i use reiserfsck --rebuild-sb after a fresh install????

I just installed a new system, and when i run reiserfsck in /dev/hda it tells me to run the --rebuild-sb module.

To tell the truth i don't really know exactly what this program does, from what I heard its something similar to the windows defrag, but i also heard that it can cause data loss when rebuilding the tree...

so is it recommended to do a reiserfsck check and a --rebuild-sb/tree every once in a while (like windows defrag), or should i only do this type of thing when im having problems with the HDD?

I've never done any maintenance on reiserfs. i just install and GO like wild fire, never looking back.
Is your root / on reiserfs? If so, you cant fsck a mounted root fs.
reiser normally gets checked during bootup before being mounted RW.
