My advice would be to go ahead and try it, if you have the time
and the patience. It is definitely a learning experience, but in mostly good a way. Of course, each machine is different, and there are going to be times when yo wished that you could throw the d*** machine out, but as time progresses, it'll be worth it. I love it, Don't wanna try any other distro again (I've tried RH 7thru9, ManDrake, peanut ,Vector (which is pretty cool, however you have to really know what you are doing to get it set up right.) Gentoo, Suse and Slack is the best. Good luck no matter what distro you go with. There's always great help here. |
