Settings dont stick

When i set my settings (style, color, alsamixer, firefox bookmarks) most of the time when i reboot they are back to default. Its kind of annoying resetting them every time. Anyone know whats going on?

to keep alsamixer settings you need to run "alsactl store" as root.
for your other problems

it maybe some weird permissions problem.
How do you change settings(style, color)? check if you have write access to your ~/.mozilla/firefox/ folder. try to run firefox, those other programs out of a terminal to see if they give errors of some sort.

How do i run that out of terminal?

I go to run>kcontrol and change in there. I think ive ran that alsactl sore be4 but ill try again.

you need to do it as root from a teminal (console)
