Setting up High Speed Internet with Slackware 10.


How would I do this? I don't have it yet...but should be getting it by friday.

Information:

Connection Method: PPPoA
IP Status: DHCP

Wow, that is easy.

Umm, what are required in the kernel to support pppoe? (Custom kernel config)

PPPOE : Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet

So just enable CONFIG_NET_ETHERNET=y in config, but I think it is already set...

I realized I didn't read well You talk about PPPOA, I think you have not ATM net card, so just enable PPP in config (CONFIG_PPP)

May only need netconfig of course, if your router/adsl modem has the login info for your ISP embedded, then you can ignore the adsl-setup/start etc.
