netconfig
adsl-setup
adsl-start
adsl-stop

Wow, that is easy.

Umm, what are required in the kernel to support pppoe? (Custom kernel config)

Cedrik 09-30-2004 09:19 AM

PPPOE : Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet

So just enable CONFIG_NET_ETHERNET=y in config, but I think it is already set...

[edit]
I realized I didn't read well ;) You talk about PPPOA, I think you have not ATM net card, so just enable PPP in config (CONFIG_PPP)

May only need netconfig of course, if your router/adsl modem has the login info for your ISP embedded, then you can ignore the adsl-setup/start etc.
