Yes thank you. I will be doing that.

Will let you know if I run into problems with that, thanks. Oh, btw, if I do get it setup, what would the command be in the "printer" field at that point? lpr?

Cool

Cool

If you get either one setup, the command continues to be the same: lpr.

If you end up doing some fancy command line printing, you may want to check the options for the lpr application you are using, since both ApsFilter's and CUPS' lpr have slightly different options. . .

Thank you for the tips, I have a question though...

I just cd'd into the directory from which i "make install"ed CUPS. But it doesn't recognize that command, and when doing a "make install" it simply gives generic info:

"installing cups"
"installing startup script"
etc.

So I am not quite sure how to "uninstall" CUPS? I know I can just remove or chmod the CUPS script, but will that be enough?

Thanks

Shouldn't it be make uninstall? I would figure CUPS uses standard makefile options. . .

Oh man, yes sorry, typo. Yeah, that's what I meant, I cd'd into the directory and entered:
make uninstall

But it returns:
masterc@masterc:~/downloads/printing/cups-1.1.16$ make uninstall
make: *** No rule to make target `uninstall'. Stop.
masterc@masterc:~/downloads/printing/cups-1.1.16$

Well I guess I will read the MakeFile's, that's gonna take a bit though... Pretty much my only option I guess though..

Anyway, nice catch ;)

Cool
