set dma enabled on cdrom permanently

Everytime I reboot and run xine-check I get

Code:
[ hint ] DMA is disabled for your DVD interface.
Basically I have to manually enter the following command:
hdparm -d1 /dev/hdc

Each time I reboot. What is the preferred way of making this change
permanent?

Not sure of you could put hdparm commands into LILO or GRUB, but what I did was put what you have there into my /etc/rc.d/rc.local script. That way, it runs every bootup.
