Can't locate SDL.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1/i486-linux /usr /lib/perl5/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i486-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_p erl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /usr/bin/frozen-bubble line 51.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/frozen-bubble line 51.
I have no idea what that means other than it can't find something it needs from SDL.
That should fix that error. In case you don't know yet, you also need SDL-image, SDL-perl, & SDL-ttf in addition to SDL-mixer and smpeg. SDL-ttf isn't listed on the frozen-bubble page but I got an error on NewFont something or other when running frozen bubble and that is what solved it. Also you need to compile the SDL-perl module after all these others, as it checks for the others and only works correctly with frozen bubble if it finds them, even though it will compile without them. Good luck.
Edit: BTW, I was able to get frozen bubble to work without installing smpeg, but I did use a package and got the same error as you did in the perl @INC. As it turned out, the package installed the perl modules in the wrong spot. All I did was move them after locating SDL.pm to fix it.
I compiled it anyways and it worked. Thank you very much Mr DaHammer....I try to google and search and rarely have to post. I was sure stumped on this one. Thanks again.
No problem, glad I could help. I faced the same thing a week or so ago, so it was fresh in my mind.. Had to see what all the hype was about with this game. Played it almost non-stop for 3 or 4 hours. Then I went to snooping around in the perl script, found a couple easy cheats and that took all the fun out of it..hehe
