Hello! I'm a n00b to Slackware (changed over from Red Hat) and so far I'm liking it. I've been able to sucessfully get it installed and get X working and whatnot but this has been bugging the hell out of me. The scrollwheel doesn't work! I honestly haven't the slightest clue about how to get it up and running, is there a FAQ or HOW-TO on this I could look at or something? I have a run-of-the-mill PS/2 mouse, which I know is probably important.
Ok well first of all WELCOME TO A GREAT DISTRO!!!! About ur mousewheel and anyother problem u get with slackware that u cant figure out FIRST OFF before u make a post S-E-A-R-C-H I-T!!!!!! Here!!!!! Im sure theres at least 100 posts on how to do one damn thing anyways good luck!!!!!!
If for some strangle reason u cant find it under the search then post!!!
I actually have a decent question this time! Okay, so I went through and added the whol ZAxis thing and made my mouse IMPS/2. Everything in X works perfectly (as far as the mouse and scrolling is concerned) however, my mouse no longer works in the Virtual Terminals (I think thats what they are called, the Ctrl-Alt-F1(F2 etc.)) All it does now is make the upper right hand corner look like I'm highlighting it and it is unable to move! This is kinda a hassle, I can't do quite Copy/Pastes in VT's anymore, I'm assuming that the problem is with my XF86Config settings for the mouse so what can I change it to yet still retain the scroll wheel in X?
